Phones with bendable displays are all the rage these days, and it’s no wonder major manufacturers are on the move. Even Vivo plans to release foldable phones until the end of the year, or at least that’s what some reports say. The latest evidence comes from the Chinese Trademark Office.
On May 24th, Vivo registered three NEX devices (NEX Slide, NEX Fold, NEX Roll) instead of one. Their names are pretty self-explanatory, but the new bit is that new form factor mobile phones exist under the NEX brand.
This makes sense given the history of the NEX lineup. Vivo used the latter to release an experimental smartphone with an unusual form factor. Unfortunately, the name alone isn’t enough, so you’ll have to wait until you see the specifications and design of the phone above.
