Samsung Galaxy book laptops announced loaded with RTX 3050 Ti and AMOLED screens, Here’s Details-Techweu

Samsung today announced four different Windows 10 laptops, each meeting different needs. One is a sub-kilogram all-rounder and the other complements the artist. The third has RTX GPU power and the fourth is an affordable yet functional option.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro

Portability is the name of the game. The 13.3-inch model weighs less than a kilogram, but even the 15.6-inch model barely exceeds it. Both are very thin. Most of the appeal of these laptops is the AMOLED display.

Both panel sizes have the same resolution, 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. With DisplayHDR 500 certification, it has a wide color gamut and a maximum brightness of 500 knits. It also covers the DCI-P3 color gamut by 120% and achieves a fast response time of 0.2 ms. You can also switch between sRGB mode and Adobe RGB mode depending on your task.

Both laptops feature 11th generation Intel Core processors and can be configured with i3, i5, i7 CPUs, and 8/16 / 32GB LPPDR4X RAM. Storage is provided in NVMe SSD format and can be up to 1TB. The i5 and i7 options come with Iris Xe graphics, but with the optional GeForce MX450 GPU (note the weight and thickness increase). There are multiple performance modes, including silent mode and “no fan” mode.

The port selection is pretty good. A 15.6-inch model with a Thunderbolt4, USB-C, USB-A 3.2, HDMI port, 3.5mm headphone/mic combo, and one microSD slot is fine. The 13.3-inch model loses its HDMI port but has an optional nano-SIM slot.

This is because we have an optional 4G LTE connection and want to stay online at all times. And the 15.6-inch model is compatible with Wi-Fi 6E and supports high-speed local connection. Other features include AKG-tuned audio that supports Dolby Atmos, a 720p webcam, and a power key fingerprint reader.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 13.3 inch weighs 0.87 kg (0.88 kg if LTE is required) or about 1.9 lbs. It is only 11.2mm thick and comes with a 63Wh battery.

The 15.6-inch model weighs 1.05 kg (2.3 lbs) and is 11.7 mm thick. It has a slightly larger 68Wh battery. In both cases, the laptop is charged via USB-C using a small 65W adapter (weight 167g).

Samsung US has already accepted pre-orders for the Galaxy Book Pro. The 13.3-inch model starts at $ 1,000 and the 15.6-inch model starts at $ 1,100. The sale will start on May 14th. If you pre-order before that, you’ll receive $ 100 as future credit (regardless of whether you got your laptop from Samsung.com) Amazon Or best buy).

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro360

If you need a touch screen or plan to use a stylus (of course, an S-pen), get it. Available in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch versions, the Super AMOLED display supports both touch and stylus inputs. They have the same 1080p resolution (16: 9) and Display HDR 500 certification (ie 500 knit brightness). By the way, the S pen is in the box.

The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 13.3 inch also offers an optional 5G connection, but the 15.6 inch also misses. Both are compatible with Wi-Fi 6E. For wired connections, it has a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB-C ports, a 3.5 mm headphone/microphone jack, and a microSD slot. 5G laptops also have a nano-SIM slot.

Like other Pros, they feature Intel Core i3, i5, and i7 11th generation processors. The i5 and i7 options have Iris Xe graphics and there are no Nvidia MX450 options here. The 13.3-inch model can be configured with 8GB or 16GB of RAM, and the larger 15.6-inch model also offers a 32GB option. NVMe SSD storage can be up to 1TB.

The batteries are the same, the smaller one is 63Wh and the larger one is 65Wh, both charged at 65W via USB-C. AKG audio with Dolby Atmos, 720p webcam and fingerprint reader is also available here.

The 13.3-inch model weighs 1.04 kg for the Wi-Fi model, 1.1 kg for the 5G option (2.3-2.4 lbs), and the 15.6-inch model weighs 1.39 kg (3 lbs). Both are about the same thickness, 11.5mm for small laptops and 11.7mm for large laptops.

Both models of the Galaxy Book are MIL-STD-810G rated and have been tested for low pressure and high pressure, vibration, dust humidity and even salt spray. These two are also part of the Intel Evo program, which also includes features such as instant wake, “best-in-class” connectivity, and long battery life.

Starting today, you can pre-order the Galaxy Book Pro 360 in the US for $ 1,200 for the 13.3-inch model and $ 1,300 for the 15.6-inch model. The first unit will be available on May 14th. But you may not want to wait that long. Pre-ordered, $ 150 credit for Amazon purchases, $ 150 gift voucher for Best Buy instead, $ 150 eCertificate or free Galaxy Buds Pro for purchases from Samsung.com and Samsung Experience Stores Can be earned. ..

Samsung Galaxy Book Odyssey

If you need more performance than portability, the Odyssey offers it in spades. It’s still pretty easy to carry. This 15.6-inch laptop weighs 1.85 kg (4.1 lbs) and is 17.7 mm thick. It uses a larger 83Wh battery with a more powerful charger, 135W (USB-C).

Additional juice is needed to power the Nvidia GPU. You can choose between GeForce RTX3050 TiMax-Q and Vanilla 3050 Max-Q. It will be added to the 11th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 (this time there is no i3).

Laptops with 8/16 / 32GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 1TB NVMe SSD are available from the store. However, because this is a working model, you can place your own RAM and have a second NVMe slot for more storage.

The connectivity is also good, at least for the ports. It has two USB-C ports, three USB-A 3.2s, HDMI, a headphone / microphone jack, a microSD slot, a security slot, and an RJ45 for connecting to a LAN. There is no 4G / 5G option here, but Wi-Fi 6 is available (this time there is no 6E).

The 15.6-inch display is a TFT LCD with a resolution of 1,920 x 1080px.

Samsung Galaxy Book

This is the basic model of the series, but it’s still quite capable. If you don’t need that RTX GPU and don’t want to spend money on AMOLED displays, the Vanilla Galaxy Book is for you.

It is equipped with a 15.6-inch TFT LCD (1080p resolution) and Intel 11th generation Core i3 / i5 / i7 processors. There are also more affordable versions with PentiumGold and even Celeron processors.

RAM (LPPDR4X) starts at 4GB and 8GB and 16GB upgrades are available. You can get one NVMe SSD up to 512GB, but you can also add a second SSD. You can use a GeForce MX450 GPU if you want.

This model is still reasonably thin and light, weighing 15.4mm and 1.55kg (3.4lbs), respectively. The 54Wh battery is charged at 65W via USB-C. The audio setup misses AKG’s touch, but still gets Dolby Atmos. The power button fingerprint reader is optional.

Unlike the Odyssey, it has LTE for Wi-Fi 6. The port selection is also excellent, with two USB-C, two USB-A 3.2, HDMI, combo jacks, security slots, plus microSD and nano. -SIM slot.
