Beats today announced the Studio Buds pair of truly wireless in-ear noise-cancelling earphones.
Studio Bad features active noise cancelling that uses a microphone on the outside of the earphones to cancel background noise. If you need to hear the ambient sound, there is a transmissive mode, which uses the same microphone to pipe the ambient sound from the speakers.
Studio Buds doesn’t have custom Apple silicone like other Beats models. Nevertheless, it can be paired to both Apple and Android devices with a single touch. For Android devices, audio customization and firmware upgrades must be done from the Beats app. On Apple devices, it runs natively through the OS.
Studio Bad also has a voice assistant. On Apple devices, you can activate the Voice Assistant without installing anything by simply saying the “Hey Siri” voice command. On Android devices, you need to install the Beats app to enable the Voice Assistant or music control on your device.
Please note that Apple Music does not support spatial audio as Studio Buds does not work on either W1 or H1 chips.
